The Beaufort County Libraries are hosting several events celebrating the upcoming 250th Anniversary of the United States.

Friends Annual Meeting and Celebration!
The Friends of the Beaufort Library Annual meeting will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026 9:00 am at the Beaufort branch. (The public is welcome to attend with light refreshments served.)
The Celebration will begin at 10:00 am in the Beaufort branch Children's area, including a "Bluey Party" with a special children's Story Time, craft activities and refreshments.
Please Note: The Summer Lunch program is not being offered to libraries this summer. Instead, the school district is providing a "Groceries to Go" program, where families can register to pick up a week's worth of food from designated school sites.

Experience the wonder of Wonderbooks!
With a WonderBook, children can listen to the story being read aloud while following along with the text. Some versions even include learning modes with questions and activities.
WonderBooks make it possible for kids of all reading levels to enjoy books while improving their reading skills.
Friends of the Beaufort Library is proud to provide funding for WonderBooks at the Beaufort, Port Royal, and Lobeco branches.
(The Public Library Foundation of Beaufort County generously donated funds for WonderBooks at the St. Helena branch.)
